FAQ

Answers to help you feel at ease.

We know starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions. Below are answers to some of the most common ones.

You can book directly through our online booking page. Select your preferred service, choose a date and time, and complete a brief intake form. A member of our team will confirm your appointment within 24 hours.

Your first session is an intake appointment — a chance for you and your therapist to get acquainted. You'll talk about what brings you in, your goals, and what kind of support you're looking for. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with.

Yes. We offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so you can ask questions, learn more about our approach, and find out if Your Room is the right fit for you.

We offer individual therapy, group sessions, EMDR, trauma-informed yoga, sound bowl healing, and red-light therapy. Ketamine-assisted therapy is coming soon. Each approach is offered by trained, licensed professionals.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy used to process and heal trauma. It uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess distressing memories in a way that reduces their emotional charge.

Trauma-informed therapy recognizes how trauma shapes the nervous system and a person's experience of the world. It prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment, and avoids re-traumatization by moving at the client's pace.

Yes. We offer secure telehealth sessions for individual therapy. Some modalities — like sound bowl healing, yoga, and red-light therapy — are in-person only. Your therapist can discuss the best format for your needs.

Standard individual sessions are 50 minutes. Initial intake appointments are typically 60–75 minutes. Extended sessions may be available depending on the service and therapist.

We are an out-of-network provider. We can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits. We recommend contacting your insurer beforehand.

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. We understand that life happens — just reach out and we'll do our best to work with you.

Yes. Everything you share is strictly confidential, protected under HIPAA and professional ethics standards. There are very limited legal exceptions (e.g., imminent safety concerns), which your therapist will explain during your first session.

You'll complete an intake form and a client agreement prior to your first session. These can be found on our Resources page and are sent via email after booking. Please complete them at least 24 hours before your appointment.

We offer private treatment rooms available for rent on an hourly, part-time, or full-time basis. Each space is fully furnished, calm, and client-ready. Practitioners join a growing community of wellness professionals under one roof.

Licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, wellness coaches, yoga instructors, sound healers, and other credentialed wellness professionals are welcome to apply. We review each application to ensure alignment with our values and community.
